Did you have extra Halloween candy? If you did, were you aware that you could donate it to our military troops as a special treat and not have it around the house, tempting us right before all the holiday goodies are around the corner? That’s exactly what the Carpe Diem Rotarians did!
The Carpe Diem Rotary club gathered their extra candy and made a call out to Cherokee county residents on social media, asking for donations. That call was answered! Rotarians gathered 105 pounds of candy to be donated. Members sorted through the candy, boxed it and shipped it to the designated warehouse to be distributed to our troops serving our nation.
